The Magnum and LensCulture Photography Awards 2017

La Agencia Magnum Photos y LensCulture han anunciado a los ganadores y finalistas de The Magnum and LensCulture Photography Awards 2017. El jurado conformado por fotógrafos de la agencia como Alec Soth, David Hurn y Susan Meiselas; así como por otros expertos, entre los que destacan Jim Casper, fundador de LensCulture; Sarah Leen, directora de fotografía de National Geographic y Lesley Martín, directora creativa de Aperture Foundation; reconocieron en total el trabajo de 41 fotógrafos de 24 países de los cinco continentes, en una amplía gama de propuestas, temas y estilos.

El trabajo de los ganadores y finalistas será mostrado en una exposición en The Photographers’ Gallery de Londres a finales de este año. Sarah Leen, directora de fotografía de National Geographic ha destacado el gran número de trabajos presentados por fotógrafos emergentes de enorme calidad, que dificultó un poco la labor del jurado. Floating Seahorse, Dubai, January 2017. The Floating Seahorse is an underwater holiday villa at the Heart of Europe, a man-made archipelago 2.5 miles off Dubai. It features underwater bedrooms and bathrooms.
